In a new paper published in PLOS Mental Health, Prof. Erez Shmueli and colleagues present an innovative framework that combines wearable physiological data with social media usage patterns to identify early signs of PTSD and anxiety in the aftermath of mass traumatic events.

By analyzing changes in heart rate, sleep behavior, and user interaction with digital platforms, the study offers a unique data-driven perspective on mental health monitoring at scale. These insights pave the way for proactive interventions, leveraging real-time data streams and AI-based modeling.
